Easter

Easter has become so much more

now that I am a mother...

not only has the Easter Bunny become magical again

but remembering our Savior has become more important.

I have a daughter that needs to know of the Savior and the sacrifices he made for her...

and my job is to teach her.

She may only be able to understand small things for now

such as recognizing pictures of Christ

singing her nursery songs

and learning to pray

but like everything she is taking baby steps in the right direction.

It was a magical morning when Genevieve came downstairs to her stash of goodies

It was magical to watch her find "bubbles" (Easter eggs) sprinkled throughout the grass

I was proud to watch her walk right into nursery ready to be on her own

I was happy to get the picture she colored of Christ

I was fulfilled to watch my husband and daughter walk hand in hand down the crowded church hallway.

As a young girl dreaming of her future I couldn't have imagined anything better.

It was a beautiful Easter day.

she points at swings and slides and screams "wee"

it takes a lot for me to get in front of the camera

so feel lucky I'm even posting these

 even though you may or may not be confused between me and shamoo

grammie got Genevieve ears to adorn her head

and Uncle Audi taught her how to hop

she yelled "hopping" even though her feet had a hard time leaving the ground
