our story

Two crazy kids fell head over heals, to the moon in love after becoming next door neighbors while attending Utah State.  A freckled face girl, only nineteen at the time, and a fine, tall drink of water.

first we found love.

then we were married on a cold, winter day in 2006.

then came our first baby, Genevieve October, 2009. 

We were absolutely smitten.

So much so we couldn't wait to add another.

Finley joined us June, 2011 just 19 months after his sister.

Now we live in a little blue house, with a red door where

sticky finger prints paint our walls, laughter fill our rooms and love consumes our hearts.

5 years.

dear husband, my joe joe...

five years ago today we knelt at a alter, dressed from head to toe in white, with smiles on our faces, tears in our eyes and love in our hearts while we bound our lives and souls together on this earth and for eternity.  Who knew two twenty something kids could make such a strong commitment and wise choice, but we did.

Today I love you more than I could have ever imagined on that sunny January day.  The bond between us is something that I could have never fathomed when I said yes...  A bond, admiration and friendship that grows with each day and each night as I snuggle in to the crook of your arm, rest my knees against yours and doze off. 

I imagine that at 25 years this love will seem superficial and something even stronger will have replaced it.  In fifty years I hope to be holding our grandchildren, with family surrounding us as we celebrate a life both of us imagine and strive for today. 

I know there will be plenty more tears, arguments, frustrations, heartache and trials but I'm confident that with you by my side we can overcome anything.
