could she be anymore of a ham?
she is dramatic, vivacious, happy, outgoing, sensitive, strong willed
etc.
etc.
etc.
she calls her daddy "Joe" no matter how hard we try to get her to say daddy
if anything is small (even a rubber band) she exclaims: "oooh cute!! and promptly hugs it to her body"
this is the face we get when she is worried or something is scary
she calls her pig tails "ding dings" because they move back and forth like bells
instead of peek a boo she screams "peek a ka"
she is always wanting to "pee pee potty"
she has excellent manners...
please before everything "peese nana" (please banana)
and thank you to follow "tink yooou"
if she gives you something and you forget your please and thank yous she will be sure to remind you...
she is always handing me something I would rather have her keep in the drawer
genevieve: "tink yoou mommy, tink you mommy"
and on and on until I say
mom: "thank you genevieve!!"
she is learning to count, we've reached 2
now if she wants something, usually a "cuckie" (cookie)
she asks with a little finger held up high "one, two, one, two cuckie peese"
she is also learning to jump, she isn't quite brave enough for anything dangerous quite yet
mostly books that are on the floor (it is so funny, it kills me)
she stands tall and proud on the one inch high book
and counts "one, two, jumping!!"
and promptly jumps off the book
the moon is a wonderful new discovery it is lovingly called "baby bubble moon"
yes, she still calls balls "bubbles"
everything that is new, unusual or even mundane is accompanied with a "whats that?"
even joe's arm pit hair had a strong reaction of "whats that?" cue... weird face
followed by a very matter of fact explanation by joe "that's hair"
"oooh"
and that was the end of that.
picking her nose is quite the conflict in our house
she likes to do it
and I don't agree
so now when she's has a tickle in her nose she promptly asks for a "ishoo" (tissue)
her brother is called "baby inlee"
she points to her "goobs" (our word for little girl boobs, please refer to "moobs")
and declares "baby eat"
then points to mine "inlee eat"
joe's reply "someday but not until you're thirty"
a car says "vroom vroom beep beep"
any flying bug is a "bee"
grasshoppers are called "hoppas"
and any owie is a "baby owie"
I mean really, the thoughts of a one year old keep us laughing daily.
who knew parenting could be so entertaining.

Oh I love this post! She's too funny. I love their curiosity at this stage. The questions just get better and better. What a funny, sweet girl!
