Goodbyes and Hellos

Over the past few days Joe, Genevieve, and I have had to say goodbye, with much reluctancy, to a few things and hello to others...

We have had to say goodbye to:

• New born tearless cries
• Preemie pajamas
• Slow flow nipples
• New born diapers (however ones are still too big)
• The cradle in our bedroom
• The New born wrinkly look
• Lots of sleep during the day

and hello to:

• Giggles and coos
• Crocodile tears
• A few baby chub rolls
• Some 0-3 month clothing
• Long eye lashes
• A real baby cry
• Chubby cheeks and a double chin
• Eye contact and recognition
• Growth spurts
• More sleep during the night

It is bitter sweet to watch her grow... I am excited for her future and sad about loosing her past.
