Marion Davidson

Davidson, Marion N.passed away quietly on February 10, 2010 in the hospital in Mesa, AZ. He was born May 30, 1933 in Fort Bridger Wyoming. His parents were Marion N. Davidson Sr. and Inez Hollingshead. He grew up in Evanston, Wyoming participating in band and basketball. He served an LDS church mission in Denmark. He met and married his sweetheart, Joan Hardisty, in 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. He attended and graduated from Brigham Young University. They had eight children, while living in Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, and Mesa, AZ.He was a teacher at heart; teaching in the LDS Church seminary and institute programs. He also found joy in taking his family on summer vacations across the country, Canada, and Mexico; camping along the way.He has been on two additional foreign missions with Joan to Tasmania, Australia and Durbin, South Africa, and most recently volunteered at the Family History Center and the Mesa LDS Temple.He is preceded in death by a sister, Inez Norris. He is survived by his wife, Joan; sisters Vay Anna Apgood. Frances Frerichs, and Darlene Seitz and brothers Theodore, David Davidson, and Michael Garcia; their children, Kairlee Graham, DeLane, Jennifer Jefferson, Aaron, Jeanette Fitzgerald, Marni Larson, Nathan, and Amy Heaton; 39 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.The viewing will be held in the LDS chapel on the corner of University and Mesa Dr. in Mesa, Monday, February 15th 6-8 pm. and Tuesday 9:30- 10:30 am.
