Gratitude and Some Helpful Hints....

I just wanted to thank everyone for so many nice compliments on our little hole in the wall. We love our little apartment and it has taken a lot of time and hand-me-downs to get it the way we like it. Actually, most of the furniture in our apartment was either bought at good will or my mom gave us her old stuff and I have painted and refurbished each piece! As for the big poster type art (pictured above) that is hanging on my baby blue wall in my family room and bedroom people have been asking what and how we did it. Well, heres my secret... its not art. I just found really neat thin, cloth bedspreads I liked (I guess it really could be done with any type of fabric). Joe folded them in half, stretched them tight and nailed them to fur stripping. There you have it... when your low on money you come up with some pretty creative ideas. I get all my ideas from the creativity links I have posted below. If I find a picture or room I like I try to mimic it with something Joe and I can afford. Anyways, thanks again... it really has meant so much to hear all these positive comments. I am always very hard on myself and its good to hear people appreciate something you've worked hard on! Keep the comments coming, they always make my day and hopefully most of you will come and see it in person!
